There are several ways to get to the Isle of Skye the easiest of which is to head north on the A87 and cross over on the Skye Road bridge. However if you prefer a more leisurely route there are two ferry crossings available. Caledonian MacBrayne operate a ferry crossing from Mallaig to Armadale and there is a small ferry which crosses from Glenelg to Kylerhea.
Once on the Isle of Skye head for portree, the Islands Capital. The cottage is some fifteen miles north of Portree on the A855 road, once you get to the Kiltrock viewpoint, turn left at the road sign marked Ellishadder and the cottage is 1/2 mile in a straight line inland. The cottage is the very last house with the last 200m shared with the croft.
