The north east peninsula of Skye is known as Trotternish and has outstanding views towards the mountains of Wester-Ross and to the Minch with the Island of South Rona and Isle of Rasaay, this area has many attractions with various walks nearby to the holiday cottage.

From the cottage you will enjoy views towards the crofting townships of Maligar, Marrishadder and Garos with the Trotternish mountain ridge in view. Ben Edra above Maligar and the Storr above Garos. Also in view to the south east is Raisburgh and Valtos.

Staffin has two village shops and four resturants, the dinosaur museum is at the end of the Ellishadder road and further to the North you have the Isle of Skye Museum depicting an earlier age.

We have a number of attractions in the area, the Old Man of Storr with a good path leading out, the Rigg viewpoint overlooking the Inner Minch and the Kiltrock viewpoint nearby, also another popular place to visit is the Quiraing and it’s irregular shapes and fantastic views over the Staffin area.
